Hotel Sorrento Reviews

Superb atmosphere and amenities. The room was unmatched in terms of comfort. The food was exceptional. The most impressive part was the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. I will certainly stay there again when in Seattle.

In a recent stay we observed the hotel had the following features:

Great location, friendly staff, classic European hotel accommodations

We plan on staying there in the near future as we will be traveling to Seattle and the location is ideal for our needs

The hotel is located at a very convenient location. Close to downtown but the neighborhood is relatively quiet.

Staffs were friendly and helpful, and the hotel looks historical and beautiful. Highly recommended!

I had such an amazing night at this hotel. It was so cute, unique and warm. It felt like I travelled back in time to a

more refined time, when the details mattered. I stayed for just one night but had an amazing, relaxing and

rejuvenating experience. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location with amazing architect and design. Would definitely visit again if I get the chance!

Our entire experience with Hotel Sorrento was amazing from the day we first viewed the space until our

post-wedding brunch! We had the most amazing service from everyone we encountered! Highly

recommend!

My boyfriend and I live in Seattle, but we wanted to do a haunted hotel vacation around WA. We started here and stayed on the 4th floor (with the most “activity”). Nothing spooky happened except all of the times I woke up in the middle of the night and was scared I might see something standing near me, but never did. On another note, the hotel’s new restaurant “STELLA.” was STELLAR! Amazing cocktails, service, and food. They have smaller “fancy” portions, but my boyfriend and I ordered a few dishes just so we could try more/share, and it ended up being perfect! Also, we felt very safe/clean during COVID. They checked our temps at the door and had plenty of hand sanitizer stations everywhere. The rooms were also sanitized. Including the electric water kettle. The bed was super comfy and the comforter was heaven! I wish I could have taken it with me. The shower has the multiple shower head system that gives you multiple angles of water stream. And while we didn’t use the TV in the room (we watched scary movies on our laptop) it was quite large and looked very new/nice! If I ever want another fancy staycation, this is the place to go!

The Sorrento is a classic hotel, built in the early twentieth century and it retains all of its charm and elegance, updated without destroying its original authenticity. The rooms are somewhat odd-shaped, but quirkiness is part of the Sorrento’s charm. Whether for a night or an extended stay, the Sorrento and its staff will make you feel right at home.

We were so happy with every aspect of our stay at the Hotel Sorrento. From the valet, to the front desk, to the bell hops, to the room cleaners, to the restaurant and room service, all staff were helpful and kind and efficient. The hotel was at less than full capacity due to the reduced travel during the pandemic, but nonetheless we were treated as valued and respected guests. When we needed a chair switched in our room to accommodate a special need, it was done quickly and cheerfully.

The COVID precautions were carefully observed by the hotel. I hope when you read this review, the need for such strict attention to detail will be past, but I think it speaks volumes for the hotel, staff, and management that they would be so careful.

The building is old, and charming. It reminded me of staying at the Plaza in New York, but with a west coast signature.

We chose the Sorrento for its closeness to Virginia Mason and the presence of air conditioning. They do have a medical discount rate if you need it, but the whole experience was exceptional on its own.

I highly recommend this hotel and its staff.

We stayed four nights and found the Hotel Sorrento to be a good value, ideal location and a friendly staff. Easy to walk to many eateries, shops and the Seattle U campus. The outdoor restaurant is a perfect spot to enjoy the evening.

We loved the Sorrento Hotel and had such a wonderful visit. From the moment we checked in (which was also fairly late at night) to when we checked out we felt totally taken care of. The room they gave us was beautiful and spacious and we slept so well. It's a charming hotel with so much history and cool decor. Even in this pandemic we felt comfortable and safe at the hotel...dare I even say "normal" for a short period of time. We'll definitely stay here again and highly recommend you consider staying at the Sorrento. Hopefully when this pandemic has subsided the hotel will be bustling with the activities and guests we know they'd normally have year 'round. It's still a reasonably priced hotel stay in Seattle and as I mentioned above...we still thoroughly enjoyed our visit despite all of the new health requirements and things going on. It was great to have the chance to stay in the city and feel so relaxed.

I had the pleasure of staying here a few nights while my husband had a major surgery at Swedish. It was a stressful time, but my goodness, this place quickly became my oasis!

All the staff left a positive impression on me and took care of everything I needed while I was there. You can tell they are used to assisting hospital visit patients as they are always thinking ahead and helping remind of anything that was missed. Sue is a superstar and assisted me with making the booking and ensuring I was well taken care of. The valet guys (Roy and Sam) always had the car ready for hospital appointments and were very knowledgeable about the area.

Once my husband has recovered and is well, we will return for a pleasure stay. Thanks again for everything, you guys are great!

PS they have great COIVD-19 precautions in place and I felt safe and secure there.
