The First Hill Improvement Association invites you to connect with neighbors, colleagues, and friends on the final Friday of each month from 5–7 p.m. Enjoy an evening of community, conversation, and connection in the heart of First Hill.
This month, the gathering takes place at Hotel Sorrento (900 Madison St.), where we’ll be extending Aperitivo Hour until 7 p.m. Come by with friends—or meet some new ones—as we raise a glass to First Hill and support the local businesses that make this neighborhood special.

Join us to celebrate the Italian ritual of Ferragosto—where people gather to savor the height of summer through food, wine, and shared pleasure.
Ferragosto at Hotel Sorrento is a midsummer celebration of Italian ritual, leisure, and la dolce vita. The evening begins with a seated, coursed Italian supper in the courtyard—linen-draped tables, candlelight, and a menu rooted in abundance.
At 8PM, the doors open to welcome all for an open-air celebration with music, cocktails, and Mediterranean revelry under the stars. Alongside, a promenade of bancarelle—charming food stalls inspired by Italian village fêtes—serves regional bites and summer delights.

Join us in the garden for an exclusive evening with Banfi Wines, featuring a 4-course, wine-paired dinner led by Dino Altomare, Director of Education at Banfi.
Executive Chef Paolo Pezzali has created a regionally inspired 4-course menu showcasing rustic Italian elegance and seasonal ingredients.
