Studying bartenders is something a girl your age (22, is it?) has plenty of experience with. But your (wise) rule has been to ogle — but not touch — anything behind the bar.
Shake things up with Drinking Lessons at the debonair Hunt Club.
As part of the Night School series, One Pot gathered our nation’s finest (and that is double-edged) drink slingers to explore the making and evolution of American cocktails. Learn the history and procedure behind classic potables like an Old Fashioned, Pimm’s Cup, and Singapore Sling as well as newfangled refreshments.
Imbibe while nibbling treats from the Sorrento Hotel’s kitchen. Then leave proudly porting your own mixology book.
Courses start tomorrow and continue twice a month throughout the year, but each night is limited to twelve eager pupils.
Take your shot.
Tomorrow and August 24, 5:30 and 8 p.m., at The Hunt Club, 900 Madison Street, at Terry Avenue (206-343-6156 or hotelsorrento.com). To reserve your spot, e-mail nightschool@hotelsorrento.com. For more information, go to onepot.org.
