Seattle’s Sorrento Hotel Announces 2013 Drinking Lessons Lineup

Popular monthly cocktail education and preparation class continues in Hunt Club Bar

Seattle, Wash. (September 13, 2012) – Sorrento Hotel, Seattle’s most iconic boutique hotel located in the First Hill neighborhood, announces 2013 dates for its popular cocktail education and preparation class, Drinking Lessons. This monthly event features leading cocktail historians, quality distillers, occasional guest bartenders, as well as the Hunt Club Bar’s own star mixologists, who deliver an animated and often collaborative 90-minute lesson on the history and preparation of distinct spirits and libations.

Drinking Lessons take place on the second Wednesday of the month. The 2013 lineup is as follows:

January 9 – Hot Toddy
February 13 – Champagne
March 13 – Rare Wines
April 10 – Spring Infusions
May 8 – Gin
June 12 – Scotch
July 10 – Rum
August 14 – Tequila
September 11 – Absinthe
October 9 – Bourbon
November 13 – Classic Cocktails
December 11 – Holiday Cocktails

Drinking Lessons take place in the Hunt Club Bar at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $35 per person and includes the class, drinks and Hunt Club bites. Seating is limited to 12 participants per session.
